A factor of a number is a number that divides it exactly, with no remainder! The factors of 12 are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 12.
A multiple of a number is the result of multiplying it by a whole number! The multiples of 4 are 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, ...
1 is a factor of every number, and every number is a factor of itself.
Activity: Find all the factors of 18, and the first 5 multiples of 6.
