Integers include positive numbers, negative numbers, and zero! For example, -5, -1, 0, 3, 7.
Adding a negative integer is like walking backwards on a number line! 3 + (-5) = -2.
Subtracting a negative integer is the same as adding a positive one! 4 - (-3) = 4 + 3 = 7.
Activity: Draw a number line and work out -2 + 6 and 5 - (-2).
